LANDS and WATERS
website finally up!  (12/19/07)

Kida, the French Bulldog, our official website quality control administrator.

Hi, everyone.  My name is David Alford, your better-late-than-never webmaster of LANDS and WATERS.

In June of 2005 LANDS and WATERS was officially recognized as a 501-C-3 non-profit organization. Since that time, Jeanette and I have been talking on a weekly basis about "setting up a website," but little or nothing ever came of it. When we finally did have a chance to talk, we would say things like, "Hey, let's get together and work on that website next week!" forgetting that we had said the same thing the previous week. She and I have weird work schedules, Jeanette, up at the crack of dawn to work on her projects, and myself working my day job, which is in reality a night job. Lets just say that getting us together is a task that isn't easily accomplished. I think you get the picture.

Jeanette finally solved our procrastination issue rather abruptly. She announced to me that the new 2007 contribution letter featured our web address with an open invitation for everyone to come and check out all the changes that we had made, knowing that nothing had actually been done.

She informed me of this with her typical "can do" attitude only two days before the mailing went out. Needless to say we were working under tight time constraints.

The basics are in place, but this is only the beginning! Check back with us on a regular basis as there is much left that still needs to be done.

No French Bulldogs were harmed in the making of this website.

My name is David Alford, and I approved this message.
